If you own either a Maxtor or Seagate drive, definitely download their free backup software, an OEM version of Acronis True Image (it won’t work with other drives). There’s DiscWizard (Seagate) and MaxBlast (Maxtor). The software works fine with external drives, as long as at least one of the drives involved is a Seagate/Maxtor-brand.

It is refreshing to know that in case the included software of a seagate hard drive is lost, there are ways to get it back.
